I became a Professor Emeritus in 2005 after 41 years of teaching in colleges and universities, giving me more time for fun and travel, especially scuba diving. Thus my picture, with a gold chain brought up from the wreck of the Atocha which sank off Key West in 1622. I continue to do economic modeling and periodically prepare national, state, and local forecasts. Governor McAuliffe appointed me to his Governor's Joint Advisory Board of Economists, so I now have had the pleasure of being on the advisory board for seven Virginia governors.nI intermittently do consulting projects in forecasting, futuring, and the economic impact of current or planned enterprises. Recently I co-authored the Fiscal Year 2013 Virginia Economic Impacts of the Port Of Virginia in December 2014, The Fiscal Year 2013 Economic Impacts of Virginia Maritime Industry International and Domestic Commerce in February 2016, and also did a series of four economic impacts studies for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority during the period 2012-2014. nSpecialties: Time series and multivariate forecasting, futuring methods and studies including scenarios, and economic impact studies.
