Trump Era Growth Forecast at 1.9 Percent
A recent report by the US Congressional Budget Office forecasts economic growth during the Trump years averaging 1.8 percent annually and increasing the budget deficit. That would be far from the 3 percent growth rate and eventual budget surplus the president claimed, and it supports the earlier TechCast study, which forecast growth of 1.5 percent and increasing debt.
The TechCast Study of Trump Era Policies draws on the collective intelligence of our 150 international experts to forecast the probability and impact of a dozen major Trump policies. It also estimates indicators like GDP, national debt, approval ratings, stock market indices, and the probability of three alternative scenarios—Trump Rules, Trump Changes, and Trump Falls.
